Doubles Trouble is the eighth webisode of Season 2 of the DC Super Hero Girls webseries, and is the twenty-first episode overall. It was first released on July 28th, 2016.
Summary[]
The webisode starts off in the tennis court at Centennial Park with Supergirl and Katana getting ready to start a doubles tennis match against the Flash and Cyborg. Supergirl explains that she is excited to be Katana's tennis partner, as she believes she understands the rules, but also admits that Kryptonians weren't very sporty. Katana replies that she will catch on the rules and that her super speed, strength and reflexes, will help them win the championship and the Acey trophy.
Cyborg then tells her that the trophy is as good as theirs before high-fiving the Flash. Katana tells Supergirl to follow her lead and replies to their teasing with trash talk of her own on visiting hours to see the trophy after they win. The match begins, and when Cyborg sends the ball to Supergirl, she accidentally sends it out of the court and smashing a hole through a tree using her super strength.
Supergirl quickly apologizes to Katana, who tells her to shake off her beginners nerves. Supergirl's second attempt to hit the ball causes the ball to crash in the middle of a road and create a large crater before right in front of a can that nearly falls in. The match continues, as Katana does most of the playing against both the Flash and Cyborg. When Cyborg extends his robotic arm to hit the ball to Supergirl, she again hits it out of the court, this time to a building about to be demolished. The ball demolishes the building, surprising a crane driver just before he can hit it with a wrecking ball.
Back in the court, Supergirl hears the cries of a distressed civilian, via her super sonic hearing and flies away in the middle of the match. Katana expresses annoyance at her leaving. While levitating in the park, Supergirl then sees the Double Dare Twins trying to rob an old lady's purse. After Margot pulls it away, the old lady runs away as Supergirl confronts them. The twins taunt her, claiming to have only been taking a walk in the park before the the purse just ran into them. The twins split up and begin to cart-wheel down opposite sides of the trail. Supergirl realizes that they are moving towards each other near the tennis court. She spots a lamppost, and serves the tennis ball with her racket. The ball hits the lamppost, bounces off and leaves a large crater in the middle of the tennis court, right in front of Margot who falls in while cartwheeling through the court. Aliki manages to save herself from also falling in before taunting Supergirl. Just then Supergirl's tennis ball bounces off the statue of Superman and knocks her along with the tennis net into the hole as well.
As the twins emerge from the hole both trapped in the net, Supergirl lands and Katana approaches her along with the Flash and Cyborg, who is holding the Acey. Supergirl apologizes to Katana for making them lose the trophy. Katana tells her that although she may not be a good tennis player, she is a good superhero, and gives her the Acey.
