Appearance[]

Commissioner Gordon has light skin and red hair with a streak of gray and a mustache. He wears glasses, a white collared shirt, a brown jacket, and a dark red tie.

Cartoon[]

He is voiced by Tom Kenny in the English version of the cartoon.

Season two[]

In the special Super Hero High, Commissioner Gordon enters his daughter Barbara Gordon's IT office, expressing to her how protective he is of her and the relief that she is in her last week working at Super Hero High School, seeing the school as dangerous for her. He later helps Barbara pack up her office, telling her that to celebrate her last day working at the school, they will have spaghetti for dinner. He later attends the assembly celebrating the school's victory over the Female Furies, and confides to Red Tornado that he is both very proud and very nervous when Barbara, now Batgirl is introduced as a new student at Super Hero High School.

In Hero of the Month: Harley Quinn, he makes a background appearance walking through the SHHS library while holding a stack of books. In Hero of the Month: Batgirl, he appears sitting on his desk watching his daughter's Hero of the Month announcement with his forensics class, and subsequently in Batgirl's Hero of the Month VT, showing a picture of Barbara from a scrapbook as a baby covered in a mess of spaghetti, saying "She may have perfect aim now, but when she was a little girl, she couldn't even hit her own mouth." Batgirl snatches away the scrapbook in embarrassment.

Season three[]

In Around Metropolis in 80 Seconds, Commissioner Gordon shuts down the route for the street race between Wonder Woman and Supergirl at Batgirl's request, who in turn bargained to never drive over the speed limit.

In A Fury Scorned, he greets Batgirl and Hawkgirl as they arrive at Belle Reve Penitentiary to drop off the Cloaked Shadow as a prisoner. The Cloaked Shadow reveals herself to be Lashina, and shoots him with a poisoned dart, causing him to faint. Batgirl and Hawkgirl decide to let her free the Female Furies in favor of saving him. They take him to the Centennial Park tar pits in the Batjet to find the antidote. They eventually find it and give it to him, causing him to wake up. The next day, he appears as a hospital patient, telling Batgirl that being a good hero is about making tough choices and approving of her decision to let the Furies escape, before noting Batgirl and Hawkgirl's smell of tar. In Body Electric, he remains in the hospital playing cards with his daughter, having lost several times before saying that he should be going back to work. Batgirl reminds him that he must stay until all the Apokoliptian poison has been eliminated. She leaves his room when the power goes off in the hospital due to a citywide blackout to restore power and save the patients. After Thunder and Lightning restore power to the city, he, now recovered and released from the hospital, gives them medals at a ceremony in the school auditorium.

In Techless Tuesday, he confiscates Batgirl's gloves for texting in his forensics class, much to her frustration. It is later implied that he, along with the other teachers who confiscated her gadgets in the episode were actually Mrs. Clayface in disguise, hoping to use her gadgets to break her husband out of Arkham Asylum. In It's a Superful Life, Batgirl brings him dinner while he is working in his office late, before he thanks her and they hug. He later attends the winter holiday tree ceremony in the school foyer, standing by Principal Waller and the other staff as she wishes happy holidays to the students.

Season four[]

In Nevermore Part 2, Commissioner Gordon appears at the school using a megaphone to direct citizens fleeing the sulfur craters sprouting in Metropolis to the cafeteria bunker and complimenting Batgirl for her work in bringing citizens to the school. In Nevermore Part 4, he appears at a PTA meeting announcing that Trigon will be heading up their PTA wrapping paper fundraiser. When Bumblebee's mother asks if they had to let him join the PTA, he replies that "he wouldn't take no for an answer". In Tamaranean Dance Club Part 1, he makes a cameo appearance outside Lena Luthor's old warehouse with Batgirl watching as the Double Dare Twins walk into the Battywagon after getting arrested for robbing it.

Season five[]

In the first part of Fortress of Solidarity, Commissioner Gordon attends the winter holiday tree ceremony in the school foyer with Batgirl, as she holds a present. He later appears in the crowd watching as the tree is lit.

Graphic Novels[]

Finals Crisis[]

In Finals Crisis, Commissioner Gordon appears in the Super Hero High School hallway receiving a phone call that Killer Croc was at Capes & Cowls Café, and saying that he will be right there. Later that evening, he arrives at Centennial Park to arrest Giganta after she is defeated and captured by Wonder Woman, Hawkgirl and Lady Shiva. He also appears calling Batgirl after seeing the Batplane leave the school, reminding her to study. She replies that the school was too loud. Late in the evening, he appears in the faculty lounge late grading papers before leaving upon hearing that Solomon Grundy was spotted downtown.

Hits and Myths[]

In Hits and Myths, Commissioner Gordon appears in June Moone's flashback in the faculty lounge, commenting that Professor Etrigan seems to enjoy keeping his "personal life personal" while looking in Professor Ertigan's folder as the other teachers discuss inviting his friends for a surprise birthday party. He does not appear with the other teachers during the flashback of the surprise party itself.

Summer Olympus[]

In Summer Olympus, Commissioner Gordon appears scolding Batgirl over the phone for having to call the Paris police to free her, Katana and Beast Boy after they get arrested at the Louvre, and reminds them that are not supposed to be super heroing outside of Metropolis. Batgirl replies that they are on to something big and that she gets her inability to quit a case from him. After they promise him that they will not continue to have run-ins with the police, the call ends when Batgirl gets an incoming call from Hawkgirl. Later, he calls Batgirl again to tell her and her friends of "wacky new supers wreaking havoc in Metropolis", who are deduced by Bumblebee to be the hypnotized Greek Gods and Goddesses under Strife's spell who are Wonder Woman's half-siblings.

Past Times at Super Hero High[]

In Past Times at Super Hero High, Commissioner Gordon greets Batgirl after she and her friends return to their school from their field trip back in time where they prevent a timeline in which Vandal Savage takes over the school. Batgirl asks him if he knows who Vandal Savage is, to which he replies he is not familiar with the name. He then tells her that he will tell Mr. Fox that they have returned safely. Upon realizing that their original timeline has not yet been restored, Batgirl and Harley Quinn return to the past once again to restore the present timeline. After succeeding, the Commissioner Gordon from the alternate timeline presumably merges with his counterpart from the original timeline.

Books[]

He is mentioned by his daughter Barbara Gordon when she helps Wonder Woman out with her locker.[1]
