—Wonder Woman and Supergirl |
"New Beginnings" is the first webisode in the second season of the DC Super Hero Girls webseries.
Summary[]
At her office, Principal Waller hands the new Ambassador to new students, Wonder Woman, a file on Supergirl. Waller then explains that she wants her at Super Hero High School, believing she would be a "one of a kind catch". Principal Waller finishes by asking Wonder Woman to convince Supergirl to come to Super Hero High, and announces that Barbara Gordon would set up a call.
In the computer room, Barbara sets up a video chat on Wonder Woman's tablet. At her Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Martha's farm in Smallville, Supergirl attempts to set up her computer. When Wonder Woman pops up via video chat, she gets startled and falls, crashings into her bookcase, and uses her speed to catch the books.
Wonder Woman excitedly comments on her amazing powers and notifies Supergirl that there is a book on her head. Supergirl throws it away but accidently smashing a window. Just then, the Save the Day Alarm goes off, and Wonder Woman convinces Supergirl to continue the call so she can show her about the school. Wonder Woman flies into the courtyard and shows Supergirl the statue of her cousin; Superman, explaining how he remains the school's number one student and remarks that Supergirl may get a statue too having the same powers and all.
When Wonder Woman tells her to picture it, Supergirl accidentally sets off her laser vision and setting her curtains on fire. Supergirl frantically tries to put the fire out by stamping on the blazing curtain. Meanwhile in Metropolis, Giganta attempts to rob a building by lifting it's roof off. As she picks up a man inside, Wonder Woman arrives and tells her to put him down while showing Supergirl through the video chat. Giganta eventually decides to comply by dropping him. Wonder Woman drops the tablet in mid-flight, manages to save the man just before he hits the ground and does the same with her tablet. Supergirl asks Wonder Woman how she learnt to do that, and Wonder Woman replies through "Advanced Catchology", an elective course.
Giganta then throw a car at Wonder Woman, while she's talking to Supergirl. Wonder Woman jumps over it and then skilfully throws her Lasso of Truth around Giganta's finger before running around her body and tying her up. As Giganta trips and falls, the bystanders cheer for her. Wonder Woman then tells Supergirl that she hopes she chooses Super Hero High so that she can see her powers in action. As the call ends, Supergirl looks around her damaged room, and comments on the destructiveness of her powers in action. When Wonder Woman arrives back at her dorm, she arrives to a surprise party, in celebration of defeating her first Super Villain. Principal Waller congratulates her and shakes her hand. Katana begins the party by using her sword to slice the cake, with Bumblebee taking her place as DJ.
Meanwhile, Supergirl looks over a few high school brochure on her bed. She opens that of Korugar Academy, and a hologram thanks her for considering Korugar. As she remembers Wonder Woman battling Giganta, she closes it, takes the SHHS brochure, and walks to her computer to begin typing an email to Principal Waller.
